  1. Comment from J.A. on SME Group of LinkedIn: My son in law is a civil engineer and a site manager for a major building construction company. He doesn’t make what a welder or mason makes with overtime even though he works the same hours directing them. Makes you wonder

    • Degrees and a Manager role do not always trump the value of a highly skilled and technical craftsman. It is also about the economics of supply and demand, the very same forces driving the wages/earning of both these skilled positions and that of the fast food worker.
